Abstract
This study aimed to measure the impact of a school radio program based on health education in developing water and nutritional awareness among basic stage students in the Ramtha district. To achieve the objectives of the study, a guide was prepared for the teacher to use the school radio program. A test on water awareness was also prepared, consisting of (20) items, and a test on nutritional awareness, which included (20) items. The study population consisted of (35) male and female students in a fifth-grade classroom, in the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, who were selected randomly. The one-group quasi-experimental approach was used with pre- and post-measurement. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two arithmetic averages of the performance of the study group members in favor of the post-measurement in water and nutritional awareness. There is a statistically significant positive relationship between the level of water awareness and nutritional awareness among fifth grade students. The study recommended using a school radio program based on health education because of its positive impact on developing water and nutritional awareness.
